| Smokey's History Old Smokey's Opened for business in 1946. It is truly a Route 66 Original. The building is essentially the same today as in the days when Route 66 was the escape route to the west. The romance lingers on. Smokey's hosted celebrities like Chubby Checker, Elvis Presley and Ernest Borgnine. Old Smokey's has evolved over the years from a 24 hour a day cafe, to a BBQ Restaurant and most recently to a country style breakfast and lunch operation. Enjoy your stay with us and savor the memories of a true Mother Road Phenomenon. |
